Machines will take over one day
NAME: Annie Wagner
NICKNAMES/ALIASES: Static
AGE/DATE OF BIRTH: 18

POWERS: Annie is a cyberpath. Her mechanical telepathy allows her to communicate with machinery. (Everything from simple machines, locks and car mechanics, to the ability to animate and manipulate machinery to do her bidding via mental command. She can also communicate with and control the functions of computers. It is uncertain whether she could forcibly override the control of a sentient machine.)

HANDICAPS: Annie is a shy girl, not very socially capable at all. The world she comes from has made it hard for her to trust people.

APPEARANCE: Annie is a pretty regular looking girl. She's got blonde hair and blue eyes. Average height and weight. Nothing particularly special about her at all. She dresses in nothing particularly special, leaning more toward the tomboyish. She's not particular about her appearance, or what other people think of it.

PHYSICAL QUIRKS: When using her powers, Annie's eyes look like static.

SPECIAL ABILITIES: Having worked in a factory, Annie is quite capable of staving off boredom.

RELATIVES: None

OCCUPATION: Former factory worker

EDUCATION: Through high school

TELL US SOMETHING WE DON'T KNOW: Annie likes to dance. She only does it when she's alone in a room, with the windows covered and the doors locked, and if she knows there's nobody else near. But when the circumstances line up, she dances her little heart out.

HISTORY: Annie's world is one of turmoil. For a long time it was humans VS mutants, culminating in a war that caused huge losses on both sides. Very few mutants survived, and those that did kept to themselves. Things were very sticky for a long time for those with powers. There were underground groups, but Annie took no part in these.

In the year 2099 a new age of heroes came to be. Thanks to the experiments of one man to recreate Spider Man who became a guardian for New York, mutants were once again looked upon with favor. Annie still kept to herself, however, choosing to remain hidden, unsure if the peace between the humans and the mutants would last, not being able to trust the calm after everything that she'd seen.

She went about her life as normal until one really bad week. Annie's boyfriend broke up with her, and shortly after, she lost her job at the factory. Feeling down about all of this, she took to wandering and hanging out in random places. She eventually met and befriended a man named Renfield. Renfield told Annie that he had considerable ties to a group in the anti-American Underground. This impressed Annie quite a bit. Around this time, President Doom's term in office was ended in considerable violence, and Annie discovered the existence of a group called S.H.I.E.L.D., who discovered her in turn and chased her down one day, shooting her in the back with an inhibitor spike.

Annie ducked into a building which also happened to be harboring Doom. Doom killed the agents, saving himself and Annie. In turn, Annie took Doom to meet Renfield. The spike was removed from her back while Doom and Renfield talked. Renfield doubted that Doom was the real Doom, despite the armor that he wore. Eventually, Doom convinced Renfield that he didn't need to believe, just be obedient. Together, the three of them devised a plan to escape. Renfield proved to be an annoyance to Doom, and admitted to Annie that he had lied about his connections and influence to impress her. Eventually Doom had enough and shot Renfield, killing him.

Forced to follow Doom's orders, Annie took control of a cyborg called The Driver. She used him to get the three of them to the safety of the mutant haven Halo City. Once there, Doom told Annie that she was free to go.

She left his side, unsure of herself and what to do. She turned a corner, looking over her shoulder at Doom as she went. When she turned around, Annie discovered herself in a very strange place.

PERSONALITY: Shy, introverted, and just a little eccentric. Annie enjoys machines, working on them, creating them, and when they're not being whiny, even talking to them. She does have a fun streak, perhaps even a teeny bit of a wild streak, she just needs somebody there to help her get into the spirit of things.

She's officially qualified to be called a geek, and will readily and excitedly get into in depth conversations about the things she's passionate about, which tend to revolve around the mechanical.

MISC: I think it would be particularly fun to get her around Harry
